I've heard but not tried. This is a hydro technique. 72 hrs before harvest, drain all water and leave the roots in the air. Keep the whole plant in the dark for that time. Seems to me the only difference between this and a flush with plain water, is that the plant won't uptake any plain water and will begin to dry, a good thing.
Some might say the plant needs the water to leech yukky tasting compounds into, but do they really do that? Others might say they need to uptake the water which seems viable to me, but I don't really see how it helps anything.
