Has anyone tried the kratky method?

I’ve been thinking about trying it my next grow. It seems like if yield and quality are similar then it would be my default method. At a basis kratky proved you can pre mix water solution and the plant will create its own O2. It’s used on commercial levels but I’ve never tried it on anything but romaine lettuce. Which did great but you know cannabis like an interesting balance.

wondering if anyone has tried before I attempt it?

Never seen a successful cannabis grow using kratky. Not to say it can't be done, but the attempts I've seen either turned out like shit, or they stopped updating after flowering started. Seems like one of those things that's too good to be true, because it actually is...

There are other low-effort grow methods out there, though. If you want to feed salts to an inert medium, check out hempy buckets, or if you want to go the organic route check out SIPs or other water-only soil methods (almost any organic soil can be water-only if you use a big enough container of it).

Here's a grower's article trying kratky with an auto in a 10 minute narrated timelapse.

The method works in a way but they have an issue with nutrient buildup. As a result, the
grower suggested changing the solution at the end of the grow.

5:30 Discusses limitation when water reaches bottom of bucket
7:30 Plant roots reach bottom of bucket and begin nutrient issues
8:30 Idea to change out solution each time
9:35 Roots look good after harvest
9:50 Look at excess nutrients undissolved in solution
10:00 and after is only harvest and trimming.

I have never attempted to grow anything else than tomatoes and peppers with Kratky, but its in my opinion the best system to use because if it simplicity, less things can fail. The thing that would make the grow perfect from the video link above is attaching a refill-reservoir and a container with a float valve. This would put an end to the uneven feeding, and fresh nutrients will get in all the time, eliminating what failed in this experiement. Also, the experiement used a 30w old led light, which is in itself really not going to bring quility grows. (i am using 300w quality leds for my small grow tent) and 750w leds for biggest tent)

Isn't grow dots sold as a drop em and leave em, low effort as possible. I haven't tried them but I think they are supposed to work good
