have you ever seen extraleaves on One fan ?

What's the most leaves you've ever seen on one fan stem ??

I have 13 ! and the wierd part is that two are smaller and in the middle of the spread ...AND totally directly on top of the two large middle leaves of the fan.... I've never seen this before ...then I looked around my other plants and saw this happening a couple other places ...just not as defined ...

so has anyone ever had something like this happen ?

Also the "fingers" are called leaflets

That could be just an odd mutation...looks cool though.
Are your plants all the same strain?

an odd mutation ...maybe ...in this pic ,I think it on a Thai skunk plant ....

I have several diff strains all growing right next to and on top of each other....it's over crowded... out of 16 plants ...I expected to pull approx 8 males....I Only had 3 males ( but who's complainin' ..right ?)(plus one or a few might hermie out on me.... I made a lighting boo boo a week ago... a few days into flowering ...the timer got effed up and stayed on for 72 hours straight ...lol... I also wondered if THAt triggered these extra leaflets to form ).... could also be the Liquid Light I was treating with up until I switched to flower.

but really .... this was supposed to be an experimental grow session...and so far so good .... other things Ive done "wrong by normal standards" so far is .... I have the same water in the bins as from the start...I mean they are drinking a ton of water...and I just add every 48 hours ...and keep PH regulated and nutes regulated ....


... I think I saw this deformity on one or two of my other plants ...just not as defined as this one. ...I check more thoroughly tomorrow and see about getting a better pic.

Does anyone know what's going on here ? I'm feeling like the mad scientist in "South Parrk" who created a monkey with 5 asses ....LMAO !

What if you pollenated just that one bud site on that leaf? would it grow lots of seeds just on that one bud site or would the whole plant start producing seeds?

CONGRATS! You have a rare strain of Chinese origin cannabis that grows popcorn buds on some, if not all, of your fan leaves! Nice.

May I ask where you procured your seeds?

Keep them green and healthy and you'll be able to smoke/use those popcorn nugs

With proper handling and application, you could pollinate a limited section of your plant but it is difficult to do correctly so that you don't pollinate the whole plant. I've read that you need very little pollen from the male to get a female to start producing seeds.

I actually just had that happen on my last grow. It was a northern lights plant crossed with something purple. I had a few of the leaves actually grow out a bud worth keeping and a few of my fan leaves developed that second row of leaves but there were only 2 to 3 leaflets on that second row.

Have no clue of the significance, but the bud was absolutely phenomenol. Not speaking specifically of the buds that grew on the fan leave but just in general.

cool...thanks for the info.... this is supposed to be a California Orange Bud plant ....I forget the name of the place I got the seeds ....but it was online, and I think in UK ? and they ship them all stealth in a music CD case (that might help you know who the place was ....I just forget, It's the only time i ever bought seeds and it was like a year ago )
