Having issues with clones that I'm trying to root...

You need to add soooo oo many other factors in....EVERYTHING you use from lights to what your clones are sitting in

yes.

stop over watering them, and stick them in potting soil after some more roots appear in a couple days.

the shitty looking leaves will die and fall off on their own. just let em be.. they grow like weeds man. ;) with clones in a dome i mist with a hand sprayer once a day and always check the root plug every 4-5 days to make sure it doesn't dry out, get it wet a couple times during that 10-12 day cycle the plugs are sitting in the dome. I get 100% success rate on clones usually in a plastic dome with a hand spayer and plain water,rapid rooter plugs, and the initial use of clonex gel for dipping the cuttings into of course. I also like to implement the use of liquid karma at 15ml/gallon in my spray (especially when taking cuts from plants that are in flower, even at harvest like if you're in a desperate situation) when I have it handy in my spray as it speeds up the process a bit.. shaves a couple days off and boosts chances of success for people who might not get 100% with clones.

When you cut the cutting at a 45 deg angle, do you shave some of the bottom part of the stem?

You run it in the cloning machine or soak your cubes it it. It,s a ultra mild nute solution with vitamins

I'm sorry I thought that was just a dome? is that a cloning machine? couldn't really see with those first pics. But if it was just a dome.. and the one with yellow had roots already. I would leave it alone and let it root out, giving the instruction I did above. The other one, maybe let it dry out a little bit and re-cut it.. or take a new cut completely.. dip in clonex or whatever cloning solution you have and start over.

I never really understood why people buy a machine for something that can be done with a $3 plastic dome and a $2 spray bottle. But everyone has their own methods and what works best for them.

No you don't shave anything off.. If you're going to re-cut that one.. Just go up far enough up the stem so that you're cutting off more than just the dead stub at the end of the cutting.. you want to cut into live plant tissue that the plant will start to produce roots off of.

Notice also in that link you posted where the guy said.. "You want little light as this will promote rooting."This is something I think newer growers often make a mistake on. You can keep a florescent bulb, like a CFL at 15" above your dome and that would be good enough. I see people using T5 lights and trying to shove trays of clones under them like they treat as if they were seedlings or young plants in Veg. Cloning requires very little light. Too much light does more harm than good.

clones cost 10 donation,, 8 site cloner $49.99 i need one out of 8, donate the rest kinda pays for it's self just add water and cuttings and forget
