Having trouble getting my seeds to sprout..

I don't know what it is, but last summer I was able to get seeds to sprout really good. This time of year I can't seem to get them to sprout out of their shell. I put them in a moist paper towel and seal it in a ziploc bag for humidity. I then place it under a heating pad on low. Temp in room is 80. What am I doing wrong?

your paper towel might be too moist. when i germ with a paper towel i lightly moisten the paper towel before putting it in the bag. then i stick it onto of my cable box and check back in a day or 2.

not sure why yours are not popping, perhaps they are just slow to pop. how many days have your been waiting for them to germ?

i usually dont zip it shut because they need to breathe i just sit it closed and spray a spray from my spray bottle up in there

Put your seeds in a cup of water and after 24 hr period you should be able to push them under if they stay on the bottom there good if not dont use them. I normally plant afterwards peace.....
