Headband aka sour kush - Reserva Privada - My Review

So I thought I should post up a short review of this strain.

She certainly wasn't a quick finisher - around 11.5 weeks in flower.

The finished produced was extremely smelly, and sticky at first. After a 3/4 week cure the buds were literally pouring with flavour and stench.

The only way I can describe the smell is it is very very very strong. This is the type of 'leave at home shit' I have been searching for so long.

Taste wise it is sensational, no words can quite describe what it tastes like. If you have not tasted this particular strain (grown properly and left to mature to 11-12 weeks) then you do not know what you are missing out on.

I have experience of quite a few strains, but none thus far has exceeded my expectations such as this. Truly a fantastic strain which will be deeply missed (I'm on my last 2 grams)

I HIGHLY reccomend this strain to anyone and everyone who has been searching for that special properly sour flavour strain. If you like your diesels you will LOVE this.

I would like to thank the people at Reserva Privada for producing such a special strain, this shit will not be forgotten.

Taking my last few tokes, totally amazing taste, If I could only ever have one strain again, it would be this. Enough said.

Edited to say I think this really will be next too, I can't find anything else that appeals more than this taste, any reccomendations?

I'm smoking some OG #18 from reserva privada. I havent tried the sour kush but they are very similiar, the #18 is a great smoke.

Thanks for the post... Was about wondering experiences with this strain. I too have only tried OG#18 and it is dank and sounds very similar. How was the sour Kush to grow out? Easy to grow? How did it stretch?

Ive had "head band" as they called it, and sour-kush quite a few times. thats rediculous for them to mix the names up like that but whatever. here in SE michigan it was a very nice strain. (head band im refering to) it was very strong smelling and had big long calyxes. it had a lime green color, not dark. it tasted sweet and sour with a hint of skunk. very sweet tho. it was a very consistent looking strain, bud-wise anyways. i hope your plant was as fun to grow as my bud was to smoke!!

It's an easy strain, she likes to be fed quite a lot. Hardly any stretch thats not expected. very straightforward.

It was different to many other strains in the method in which it grew out in veg, it kind of sprawled everywhere, rather than the usual xmas tree shape, side branches were everywhere and when it flowered they were fat buds everywhere not just the cola. Pretty impressive given I did zero training and no topping, imagine with some lst this shit would be very very heavy.

I would also like to stress once more about the taste of this strain, it is sensational, mind blowing and takes you to another level (yes just the taste).

hmmm, mine stretched like mad under veg. Very spindally bud formation. I'm about a month into flower on my two headband. I'll post some pics as well.

I'm pretty sure that's because of the word "headband" and nothing else.

Not saying it's not a great strain, it's in my next garden, but nothing beats some good marketing.

both chem based but thats it not to similer 18 has the taste HBhas the head
18 compacted sweet smell and taste
HB little stretchy monster head if grown right

Agreed, The strain had me at the word sour though!

Personally i dig any bud that tastes sour, its an almost sexual experience for me!
