Heartburn Issues! [When High]

I've done a lot of research this topic.

When I get high I get a tight, burning 'stomach feels like it's going to mildly explode' sensation in my lower left chest. It's not bad but it is annoying especially when you are high and you can't stop thinking about it. It happens whether I eat or not. I use a vaporizer. I'm very healthy, exercise daily, eat well. So I'm out of solutions, apart from vape less. :-( I vape 3/4 times a day. :dunce:

It seems all the natural home remedies don't really work for some reason. I've tried almonds, apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, milk and bananas. I also took Pepto Bismol (tablets, waited 20-30 minutes) but it didn't help.

The thing is, when I burp, it makes me feel better. I feel less pressure in my stomach. Maybe I don't have heartburn? ... I'm pretty sure I either have heart burn, acid reflux or GERD, or something that's to do with food.

Any advice?

i used to get the same feeling at one point too bro. But im my situation i would only get it when i used to smoke "blunts". Not any particular blunt, but a chocolate dutchmaster. I wouldnt feel it when i was smoking but after being done and about 30 mins later or so i would get this nasty heartburn or whatever the fuck it was. And the funny/ wierd thing was that it would only be that flavor cigar, i tried different ones and nothing, but the min i smoked a chocolate one forget about i knew i was in for some nasty feelings after i was done. So now i decided to stay away from "blunts' and mainly stick to my personal pipe, and no more heartburn since then.
I guess maybe its the vaporizer, try smoking it in a pipe. i know i know its harsher than vapor but who knows it might not give you that hearburn sensation.

ANC has a really valid point when I drink Coffee I get heartburn really easily. Or if I drink too much soda. Usually when I smoke a joint I have some coffee to go along with it.

Since I switched to decaf about a year ago, I don't even realy need nexiam anymore, caffeine realy seems to be a big reflux trigger for me.
It starts off just being heartburn, but over time it progresses to severe pains in your upper body, shoulder and rib joints, lungs, glands in the neck etc.
Listen to your body.

I don't drink coffee or soda! Can you believe I don't even like those two drinks that you HAVE to like with so many unhealthy qualities, it's awesome to be me. Except the heartburn thing :(

My theory is this, ever since I have been smoking I eat; so perhaps when I get high my body starts thinking food is coming so it produces acid in the stomach; and this is too much acid regardless of whether I eat or not?

When I burp it gets so much better instantly, it feels like there's pressure in my stomach sometimes rather than a "heartburn". It is some sort of GERD/acid reflux related occurrence though, I know that for sure.

oh, yeah, lucky you with the coffee thing, anyhow, don't smoke on an empty stomach, that does create alot of acid, GERD sucks, I had to swallow the camera twice allready.

Hmm, that's strange because I just tried a test to narrow down my problem.

When I smoke on an empty stomach (after 9 hours of sleep), I don't really have any problems. I feel a little bit of pressure in stomach.

Then I ate a cereal bowl, and it got a lot worse comparatively. So I'm thinking it's that my stomach is creating too much gas that causes pressure inside rather than the acid? when I burp the feeling goes away almost instantly before it comes back but less intensive. Is there a way to force burping?

Do you cough really hard after you blow out your hit? If so, I was thinking maybe your stomach is just sensitive and when you are coughing some how your diaphragm is contracting and letting air in. Maybe try taking smaller hits. Or get some good antiacids and when you are going to smoke, take a tablet and if the problem still happens then you don't have heartburn. Maybe you are lactose intolerant, just happened to me recently, sucks.

I don't cough since I use a vaporizer and it's a very smooth hit. 185C

@ irieie: I didn't grow this batch so I don't know the pH! Seems like decent mids though.

@ ANC: I'm definitely getting it checked out I just wanted to do my research before going to doctor's. Do you feel a lump in your left chest area as well? I'm thinking it could be a hernia or something because it's still there when I haven't eaten.

I had a few issues with severe acid reflux, tried everything, from tums to gavisgone to doctor prescribed meds- mine was so bad that my hangy ball was touching my tongue, acid swelled my throat, finaly one night i was talking to my grandma, (retired country nurse) she told me to take a teaspoon of white vinegar. I figured it would cause more damage so did not do so for a few days, when i could not take it i took a teaspoon and in minutes it was gone. If i get "that feeling" i just swig a little and i'm ok.

Nexiam was the only medication that helped for me, it takes a few days to start doing its thing, but then if you eat ok, you only need to take it for a month or two, and you should be ok without it until, you start eating your trigger food again. :) If you do get diagnosed with GERD, its a chronic condition, i.e. you will need to take meds for the forseeable future, if you play that game. Except when antibotics are concerned I steer well clear of medicine, I'm medicaly disabled, and supposed to be takeing all kinds of crap, when the viox story broke I was like, fuck this shit.

Fortunately, I don't have pain as severe as yours, but what I meant was actually if you ever felt a physical lump on your left chest underneath your heart, as in there is a raised bump on your chest compared to the right side, if you look at it.
