I'm running two 1k watt lights in a 7foot
By 8foot 6.5 foot tall grow room in basement I have two inline fans one push air thru the lights and one pulling air out of the room , both fans r 6inch and r connected together with a y pipe before they leave window , the light fan runs wide open , the exhaust fan I have cut back to bout half speed cause the run is like 2 foot
My basement temps r 72 but
My flower room is gettin 91 degrees .. I have had the fan running threw the lights pulling basement air and also pulling the room air with no change , I've turned the main exhaust fan down to allow more air to be pulled thru the lights cause it seems as if the fan connected to the lights slows since I have that y pipe connecting the two .. attached at drawing of the layout ,
Temps r 89 to 91 lights on
Temps at lights off r 79 even above the basement temps which I do have a dehumidifier running exhausting in the flower room .
Humidity is 45 to 55 percent
My veg room is 4x7
With a 600w one inline fan and a oscillating fan and them temps never get above 75
So since the two inline fans r connected together before they leave the room causing some restrictions and allowing heat to build up ..
I no that the dehumidifier is raising it a couple degrees , the dehum isn't running with lights on mayb right at lights on , it mainly runs at night hours , cause when the lights r off both my inline fans shut off for 3 hours then on for a hour then off for a hour , the oscillating fans still run constant . I know the fans r working atleast somewhat bc the humidity drops to 35 to 40 percent at lights on and at night it goes up to 50 to 55 were the dehumidifier is set .. i got one 6inch inlet with a small 6 inch like ac duct fan pulling air in the room , the basement is 68 to 72 degrees right now and the temps r 84 in the grow room , if the temps rise in the basement then the flower room temps go up even before I added that new inlet , my room is insulated with r19 on the walls the basement walls concrete with fan fold over that and orca film, the floors r 2 inch foam with wood on top , so my room is insulted , I think the issue is the two fans being hooked together but even then it should be keeping the temps down at whatever the temp is outside the grow
