Heat stress outdoors?

I raised my plants the 1st month outdoors, 2nd month indoors.

For the 3rd month I decided to put them outside.

They've only been out for 3 days but some of them look pale / light green, some of the leaves look dried / droopy / curled. Some of the leaves are yellowing and falling off. I even found one leaf that was sun-bleached. (wtf? didnt know plants could get sunbleached by natural light).
The top new stems are showing brownish / maroon colored streaking, same with the new leaf growth. Kinda looks cool but what is this a sign of?

They were perfectly healthy indoors before this.
They are in 3 gallon pots and the soil is still moist.

Anyway, I guess I should keep them inside then?

did u harden them off before u put them outside. because if not they r stressed. when switching in to outdoor u have to move the plants out in the morning and back in later. dont let them get full sun for like a week. and let ur soil dry before u water again

Sounds like over watering, maybe that and a combo of something else. How big are they? anyway they are root bound.

not that big. 17 inch

nope didnt harden them.. and it's pretty hot out here.. I guess the containers got too hot or somethin.

What does the browning / purpling of top stems and new growth mean?


One plant is getting the incurable wrinkly leaf syndrome after I left it outside... same as another plant that I long gave up on.. (I started it at the same time and it's still a dwarf).

But then again these are bag seed so who knows..

Dude my mate just had a similar thing happen in his room. He left the fan on lowest setting after rearranging lights and allsorts and when he came back the room was boiling and the smaller plant was curled up to the max and the bigger 1 only had the top quite mangled.

Sounds like heat but i didnt know that outside it was possible

Why is it called hardening them?

because you are toughining them up
