those of you who grow in a shed or out building what are you heating with? i have been looking at wall heaters, infrared heaters and garage heaters, all electric as that is what i have. i don't have to have a lot of heat but i want it to be constant, with no worries.

You will need electric heaters, or propane, and both will cost you, the electric more so. You are screwed basically,.
get some heating mats and put them under the plants. Thats the most efficient electric heater
If the leaves freeze, adios amigo. The roots are the last thing that he should be worrying about.

thanks i'll look into them, nice pull. what flavor?

How cold is it at night and during the day where you are? In Fahrenheit please.

The little heater he showed you looks like an electric oil radiator. They are pretty safe.

Can you insulate the building more?

The lights running at night should keep the plants warm enough if they are HID/HPS. Then have a space heater kick in during the day when the lights are off or set it to run for a half hour and off for a half hour.

leaves ain't gonna freeze, the heat goes UP to the leaves. 250 watts of heating mats should be plenty unless ur growing in a barn.

my building is very well insulated and i live in the deep south (bama). we don't get much of the white grass at all. i use led lights (small grow) and heated with a small force fan space heater. for the most part has worked but i only run it when i'm there and it is to small for the job. i'm looking for something i can set and not worry about. that is why i was looking at the wall heaters.
