Folks,
I'm looking to cool some cobs passively in an upcoming build, and I'm struggling to find the pin style heatsinks locally in Canada.
I came across a shop that makes the bar style heatsink extrusions, I was wondering if I could take a piece and get them to cut out circles to match the diameter appropriate for the watts per cob.
The idea would be to use the same base thickness and fin height, or even a bit more to make up for the extra surface area the pin style has.
I'm hoping someone with experience here might be able to say it's an idea worth exploring, or back to the drawing board
