Heavy raining

I had ordered some seeds but decided to use bagseeds to test the spot first with them. So i dug three holes and put one bagseed per hole. Well right when they sprouted, it rained and it rained alot to where the seeds were submerged under water. Is there a way to have a plant in this water? Could i just build the soil higher than the ground?

yeah when you build mounds of soil and plant that seeds in the top of the mound it keeps the seeds above the water. The mound should be like maybe 4-5 inches tall by like 10 inches wide.

I actually learned that from a novel called "The poisonwood bible" hahhaha

The mound sounds good, for wet climate only. Should you not get rain for a month or so, watering will be a problem. If you could make a 6" berm/dam to divert excess rain, but open it up with regular weather may help.
