my buddy gave me a clone that was already well rooted n i ran it in hydro with no nutes for a week jus straight tap water n then tonite i fed it the "growth" nute amount instead of the mid growth which i should have, the low kinda dead leaves on the clone starting droopin big time so i turned off the pump for now, should i just let it sit till tomorrow then empty the reservoir and refill it witht the mid growth nutrience amount? orr?

If you intend to grow hydro then you need clean water. Tap dont cut it.
R/O drinking water will work. I bought a couple 5 gallon jugs and re-fill them for 1.50 at the water store. Once you have clean water and have added your nutrients (half of what is recomended.) you need to PH the water now. Once the PH is about 6.0 the water is ready to use. Drooping leaves is usually a sign of overwartering. Get an airstone for the res.

Drip systems are fine, it's really just a matter of preference. Algae on top of your RW isn't too big of a deal - kinda looks bad, but shouldn't cause any issues. I'd flush your clone for a while, maybe a week or so - it looks pretty rough. It will tell you once it's ready for nutes again.

Depends if your talking about the drip pump or the air pump.

Air pump is ok to run constantly - depending on how you have your drip system setup - you could be over watering by running constantly. It would be hard for anyone to tell without more information.

i meant drip pump but i think runnin it all day was bad. this clone didnt survive but it was kinda bad to begin with i just hadnt got a clone in a while n didnt think much of its condition til i realized it was worse than it looked. anyways whats a good or common schedule for the drip pump to be on?
