i have started a closet grow and i want to know based on the set up i have drawn can i vent into the 2 foot space above the partition i have made to hold up my hps and seal it off so no air comes out

How many plants to you have in there? If you get a fan look under the DIY part of this forum and read the one about the DIY carbon filter. You can build one for around 30-40 bucks. Hope that helps.

Its going to get hot in there unless you vent to a larger space.
That 400 has the ability to make your whole bedroom a little warmer...let alone that small closet space.
