i have been growing outdoors and indoors for 5 years and never used cfl lights so i went and bought a 125 watt cfl to give it a try.

I have got some green o matic seeds and im planning on growing these under my cfl.

Could someone please let me know if this is worth my time and should i get a good yield. i have heard so much mixed reviews on cfl light and not sure what to believe.

Thanks
Ryan

if you've never used CFL''s before then wtf did you use before that?! surely not HPS or MH because they are much better than CFL's when it comes to output of watts and lumens.

CFLs are definitley worth it
a 125 watt would be enough for 2 plants max. a general rule of thumb for CFLs is 100 watts for 1 plant + 50 watts per additional plant.
To maximize the effect of your light, place it as close as you can to the plant as long as you cant feel the heat on your hand. Generally this is 3-6" away.
LST is great for fluoros as well, it is easier to spread the light over a wide plant than a tall one with CFLs.
Scrog may be something that can potentially help your yield too with CFLs.
Dont be afraid to supplment the 125 watt with several 23 watt+ spiral CFLs, you can find them at almost any hardware store. Hardware stores often carry 42 watt bulbs too which is even better.
Make sure you get 6500k bulbs for vegging and 2500-3000k for flowering, you can mix a little but have a majority of the main one for the stage your in.

You can't have too much light with CFLs! If you keep them close to buds and supplement with other bulbs you can have a great yield!

also Make sure you look at actual wattage on CFLs not equivalent wattage.
