I had a question and general.. I've only grown before indoor,and successfully. Im planning on a grow outdoors on the east coast. I live in the suburbs how, There is a large amount of woods that around around close to being developed,and even vacant woods behind my house? I was wondering if it is safe to grow in some of these woods.. I've set up trip wires etc.. Is it dangerous to grow in pretty deep undeveloped land? I mean these plots I set up are pretty damn descreet. I have 5 gallon plots, FIlled them with a proper amount of fox farm ocean whatever lol, and perlite.. I was also what to do about bugs, small animals andd just pests? I've had problems before with insects, used insecticide... unsuccessfully. What products do you guys recomend that I use..I'm good at these things and have been using and infared hunting cam and trips wires... Any advice would be really appreciated

Oh, and also I have some bagseed i gave to a friend from alright mids... He grew a shitload and is loaded with seeds grown out here... It seems to be sativa dominent very likely? Im low on money so i dont know if i want to buy seeds on the internet... I was thinking indica, because it'd grow better here. But again sativa's pretty much always have a higher yield... BUT... I only have 5 gallon buckets so they might not get big enough to be worth it? What do you guys think? THanks SO much..

Everything seems good. Guerilla growing is the best way, outdoor marijuana is something special. 5 gal buckets work fine just bury them in the ground. Sativa is great for outdoors just expect to harvest sometime near october. Soil conditioning is a big part too, just do some reserch and you'lll be fine.

make sure you don't take the same path to the spot even if it means a much longer walk. also cover the ground back up where you put the pots of dirt so it looks natural and undisturbed. if not you'll either lose the plants to someone else or get busted. also space them out far far apart from each other so it does not look like someone planted something. never in rows or anything like that.

Try to use worm castings in your mixture its great and almost essential imo

know that i read this thread to further knowledge myself of outdoor growing i appreciate all the riu members contributions

pretty much its dangerous to grow anywhere outdoors, being that alot of ppl like the outdoors, and alot of ppl like smoking pot. so if either groups of ppl or any ppl who spot ur plots and know what they are will most likely report it, but u know the area better than any of us, what the areas like, if u feel safer with this area than others and know not many ppl go back u should be good. the hunting cams a good idea because then u know whats going back there, a combo of the cam and trip wires would be better(and i mean trip wires to notify theres been a presence in the area, not to hurt injure or kill any would be rippers, hikers, KIDS, ect. ) that way when a line is broke u know when to check ur cam and if u find it to be a deer or whatever ur good. would certainly give u some piece of mind as to if anyones messin with ur girls, i swear i had numerous nightmares of my plants gettin stolen.

nah man lose the trip wires...my advice is plant later in the year when native plants are healthy...the animals should leave your stuff alone if they have a large menu already to chew on..there will not be much of a difference if you plant in mid may or mid june on yield ..so just plant later...find high ground..heavy rains can ruin a whole crop in low lying areas...grow some autos that will finish quicker along with indica strains..it blows when everything is dying in mid october and your plant is thriving and needs 2 or 3 more weeks..that is when it is most vulnerable to be spotted...get some water crystals to mix in with soil and some guano and blood meal...the less trips to the patch the better.... get some neem oil..does a great job of holding insects at bay and it works good to spray the ground around the plants to stop skunks or racoons/foxes from digging in fresh earth. i would probably plant 3-4 plants in a group and spread each group out...piss on and around them every time you visit there... make sure to bury those buckets good ..almost flush with the ground.....try to get somewhere close to a water supply ..in july an august they get thirsty and wll need water at the very lest once a week if you use the water crystals

Soil moist will help cut down the amount of times you have to water the plant. Booby traps are a little extreme but pile up brush and logs along your trails to avoid detection. Pest control is easy, start with preventitives like ceder oil and deer off. Physan 20 is great outdoors to take care of the root level. Rake away all the brush and leaves near your plants and spray the surrounding soil with ceder oil and physan 20 aswell.
