Help a noob

I started growing 16 cannibis plants around April 11th I started them in cups not realising the cups ridges would allow the roots to fully entangle themselves and make it impossible to transplant. So I said fuck it and just stuffed then into a bigger pot with the previous pot so far has worked well but now the plants seem to be stressing out. At first I thought it could be nitrogen deficiency so I fed the stressed looking plants with yellow leaves on bottom 1/8 strength nut's and have seen minimal change. Help! (These plants will be planted outside by June 5th and I want them as healthy as possible) what should I do to help these plants? I have no way of checking ph right now

Go get a way to test ph. They sell test kits everywhere, you should be able to get one fairly easily.
I went to 3 stores looking for a test and distilled water yesterday. All 3 had test, none had the water lol. But yeah I went to a hardware store, hydro store, and Walmart and they all had ph testers.

Can you expand on this please. Did you repot your plants while inside the cups?

Can you just cut the cups away with a pair of scissors?

Pictures?

He cross posted this his other post has pictures. He started in those hydro cups with the slits all down the sides. I think they’re meant for dwc? And yes he planted transplanted them into the new container while still in the old one.
And yeah I would have just cut them off.

Yes I should have just cut them off is this going to drastically kill the plant or something down the road, this year for me is more of a learning experience rather than expecting amazing results

This will likely become an issue...... plants get huge outside. If you were staying inside and keeping them small that would be one thing... I dont know what i would do if i was you....

Do you think the plants will break out of the cup eventually? I know the roots have already started to come out of the cup and into the new pot so taking them out would fuck some shit up big-time

I do, pull them up and get that thing off of them. use a butter knife to cut the roots. run it aorund the inside the net pot. theyll be fine. i do this all the time with bonsi mothers.

it will not fuck some shit up big time. be gentle. but get them off. or just pull em up and throw them out and start over. but if your easy on em and just cut them out of the net pot and retransplant them they will be fine.

I'll try a couple and compare to what the others are like after taking them out of the net cups

Then you're killing the rest. I promise whatever ones you dont cut out will be shit producers. Also if your planning on getting some bud off these plants you will need a lightproof box to put them in. that box will also need to have some sort of air exchange. Based on what I am seeing right now, if you dont have a few hundred bucks to spend on setting up a space for them to live and grow, you're wasting your time. that thing you got is good to start some seeds in but not grow full size budding plants.
If you can buy these items you can grow.
This Tent
This HVAC system
And eventually id get 2 of This Light. 2 of these will bloom that tent. and 1 will veg it.

Im not saying that with some creativity and some know how you cant get it set up with out those but for the money its pretty turn key.

Check out my linked journal for an easy 2x2 set up I ran. Just a wood box painted white! I still use it for seedlings but I got a bigger tent that I’m using now.

I waited until today to wait for the soil to dry out I was somewhat skeptical if they would live after taking them out of the cups. While I retransplanted them, the pain of hearing some of the roots break was absolutely terrible. Got a pH meter and gave them a decent meal, none have died yet so just hoping for the best. And just to clear things up I live in Maine so I cannot plant before about a week into june, these plants will be put into 7 gallon fabric pots and some will be planted directly into the ground with fertilizer and nutrient rich soil in a enclosed area. Just wondering how get should I space the ones I plant into the ground

7 gallons is a very small pot for outdoor.
