Hey all,
My cannabis gardening has inspired me to try my hand at some vegetables. I want to do a salsa garden on my deck as well as some strawberries, mint, basil. The salsa garden would contain heirloom tomatoes, cilantro, jalapenos, green onions and garlic.
I live in the beautiful Bay area of California. My deck gets direct sunshine for 1/2 the day and is in shade for the remainder of the day. Everything would obviously be grown in containers in soil.
My main questions to start are:
1. Are conditions required for each of the plants listed similar?
2: Do they require different types of soil, PH, etc?
3. Is it reasonable for all of the plants listed to be grown successfully in the conditions I describe?
4: When would be the right time to start looking for starters/ seeds?
I appreciate any help or advice I can get on this from my fellows RIU'ers
