ok, putting clones straight to bloom from little or no veg (only rooting time in propagator) is ok. The clones will grow but they won't grow as much as if you vegged em for a while. The amount of nodes and inter nodes is restricted when growing this way.
When I grew this way, my objective was to try and get 20 Oz from a dual flow flood and drain under 600W-hps in the least time possible. I experimented with NO veg time. I got little more than 30% of the 20 Oz objective. The final dry weight from 32 clones in 32 net pots was 6-7 Oz bone dry.
I had problems with the configuration. In those days I was sharing a grow room with a large number of potted plants that weren't at the same stage in their development as what was on the hydro. The potted plants were being looked after by someone else and had little or nowt to do with me. When the soil plants were finished the other person didn't give me the extra 2-3weeks i needed to bring my hydro attempt to its end. Instead, once they harvested their shyt they bumped the light cycle back to 18/6 at a time when my dro would have been about to pack on the most weight.
I'm experimenting with this Zero Veg thing once again as my previous results were tainted. I no longer share grow rooms or have the threat of someone fkn with my photo period. Personally, if you are looking for a high yield of you favorite medicine then I would veg whatever you put on your system for at least 5 days. You need the node and inter node production from vegging to give you bud sites. 1kW doesn't matter much, just means you probably will not get any bud that isn't totally dense.
I'm making many assumptions. I've been receiving clones for years and they arrive in different sizes and conditions all the time. Some clones I've bought had been bloomed at 4 inches and finished at 24 inches. Numerous factors will determine your final product, so it isn't quite as straight forward as Yes/No
Hope my nonsense answer helps
