Help !!! Drying my buds in my growtent while lights are on 12/12 ???

My question is if I have some of the buds drying and the rest of the plants still in the flowering cycle will the light mess up the drying process? The smell to much in my house and need to reduce the smell so I ended up hanging my buds out of reach from the light at the very top of my grow tent. Any ideas how to get rid of this smell cheers

Ive never tried drying like that but I bet the buds will dry out too fast and will smell like hay and taste bad.

When I have a plant that finishes before the other ones I just hang it in a cardboard box and run some ducting from the tent to the box to help with the smell. I just bought a small tent for this purpose but the box works fine too.

Yes it will. Light degrades trichomes. Keep it in the dark in say a closet or similar semi enclosed space. You can build a simple dry hang rack out a big cardboard box or clean trash bin, etc; poke some holes in the top and tie string or something to hand the stems from vertically. Burning something like nag champa insence should cover up some of the smell. If you put your drying rack close to your tent much of the odor should be scrubbed by filteration assuming your have one in your tent.

Use paper grocery bags. Great for drying. Yeah your tent isn't the best place, but ive done it with no issue.

Cheers I've used a cardboard box idea and chucked it in my loft works like a treat cheers for the idea !

What are your temps? Lofts are usually pretty hot this time of year.
