I am working on setting up a 3.5'x2' box that I would love to run some cree COBs in. My goal is 45k Lumens and under 300 Watts. I cannot find the COBs in my desired bins. Does anyone know where I can find them in low quantities?
My first preference would be running 11 CBX1820 at 700ma in S4 or T2 bin. The S4 bin yields 44374LM at 284W and the T2 yields 47490Lm at 284 Watts. I can't find either.
Second preference would be running 6 CXB3070 at 1400ma in either BB, BD, or CB bin and I can't find any of those as well unless I buy 100.
Third preference would be running 5 CXB3590 (36V) at 1400ma. For me to choose this one though, I would need DB or DD bin to reach my 45k Lumen goal and I can't find either. (DB yields 45k lumens at only 243W)
I prefer the 1820s because it is much less up front cost and I can run a better variety of 2700k, 3500k, and 5000k COBs. And they are coming out with better bins all the time, so I will most likely want to upgrade in a year or two anyway.
