Hi i am from the UK and new to this .i dont want to make any rookie mistakes and i am looking to the mature members to take some time and post me an idiots guide to growing .managing /pruning /and drying .i intend to grow Indika as i have various medical conditions the worst being complex regional pain syndrome [CRPS] i wont bore you with the details but after 4 major spinal operations over the last 20 years i have developed this awful CRPS its like someone is rubbing your legs feet and backside with coarse sandpaper and having that area crushed .its hell .pure hell .i am on oxycontin for it but it only goes so far. a good joint helps .so i want to grow wedding cake [canabis ] and make a first-class job of it .i am building my grow room as we speak it will be able to house around 10 mature plants and have enough room for a preparation area .i am just working out a clean air route and a water system i want it as clean as possible and .i am not ready to plate yet as i am reading as much as i can . but i can read as much as i can i have found that over the years its worth speaking to people that have been there and got the pink Floyd tee shirt ! . i am sure that there are many fellow growers why would want to pass on tips and the best way of doing whatever .so if anyone can give me an idiots guide i would be very grateful from start to nice bud ! .and if i can help with questions on electrical engineering [ i am a retired electrical engineer ]or spinal surgery and spinal pain .i am an expert patient regarding spinal pain and spinal lumbar surgery ...i really am an expert patient i give fellow patients and student doctors lectures in spinal pain, in particular, CRPS .so if you of you are due to have spinal surgery please let me know if you are worried about anything ..anyway i am married male 53 years old and medically retired thanks for reading and i hope you can help me out

Im sorry but there is no one type fits all.

Many ways to skin a cat.

Sounds like you picked your strain, now you have to get it. Wedding cake is a hybrid not an indica but the effects could suit you fine, that's up to you.

Now you have to pick your grow style, hydro which there are several ways, soil, or soil less. Then how you want to grow, sea of green, scrog, LST ect..

Everyone has a different opinion on what style works best. Then choose a good quality light/s.

It would be easier if you told us your set up and someone can help point out errors or whatnot. Unfortunately a lot is trial and error. Getting better each run and learning from mistakes. Good luck to you.
