Help! for burnt leaves tips and slightly curling

I need help identifying the problem with my two plants and any tips on saving them before it's too late.

I think I have an idea of what went wrong, but I would like to have a second opinion from expert growers.

The plants are around 6-7 weeks old and were doing really well in the beginning.

The plants started a week ago with the leave problems.

I had previously seen a gnat on one of the plants so I decided to lightly sprinkle diatomaceous powder (organic insecticide) on the soil and a bit on the leaves as a precaution a week ago.

And this week I lightly sprayed neem oil/water on the soil as another precaution.

Any info is much appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

not burnt curling

that is classic sign of heat stress
to confirm it is easy put your hand at that lvl (back of the hand facing the light ) hold it there for 30 secs if the top of your hand is hot/or uncomfortable after 30 secs your light is making to much IR heat u need to back the light off 3/4 inches

another way to counter it is to add a fan in the area to blow cool air on the leaves removing some of the IR heat the light makes

I have a fan in the grow box, also a digital thermometer.
It was getting a bit hot ,up to 81, in there a few times last week that could be the reason.
I will go ahead and raise the light and try to keep an eye on the temp.
Hopefully that does it and brings them back to health.
Thanks for the advice and taking the time to respond.
