help gophers eating roots

i use the electronic spikes there like 50$ there workin great, but if there not transplanted in the ground how are the gophers getting them?

I deal with killing gohpers. People use the gopher spikes, the gopher pellets and the other poisons and repellants. I would buy the spikes for sure at 20-30 bucks at lowes. But the best besides a shotgun is that 1/4 inch chicken wire 16 gauge. However you got to do that before you plant and fill the whole hole. Those gas grenades work too.
