help grow room

well my buddy has a huge place and his basement he asked me if i would like to use it as a grow. to play around with and see what i can do with it its 2000 square feet. he said to use it all anything i need just ask i would love to do it but im a outside grower i dont know about lights and how much to use for that much space can i get a lil bit of help for a good set up

thats a big light bill if your gonna use all 2000sqf...might wanna look into some light rails to move lights back and forth

im thinking light movers on every light so far thinking of just starting with the 8 ballasts 1000w 240v and i got 1 thats 1000 120v picked the 8 up for 50 bucks at at one of the places i was helping the ppl move i know i will most likely need more but i think its a good start to see how much more i need after i start setting up

Sounds like you are embarking on a great opportunity, a space like that could be managed with movers as suggested, perlite hempys, auto watering, etc. I do grow consults and setup help if you need it and are in my area. Otherwise you have alot of reading to do

mostly what i need to know is how much 1000w lights i will need for the area like a base count i got a good plan on what i want to do just want to make shore i have the lights i know its going to be a pain to hang the lights cuz the roof is so high

I would say 12 on 4 foot rails. 4 rows of 3. Each should cover about a 4 x 6 area each nicely.

i want to put i liquid cooled lights but i dont know were to get them and dont know to much about them but i seen them in use in bc and the light was inchs away from the plants and they were 1000w a lil help one a good place to get the set up for them would be loved

You will need more lights that way, plus a huge water chiller.

here is another way of cooling you could make this yourself...
fig.1 is a cool tube without reflector.
fig.2 is some type of radiator (cheap heater core from a car) that is placed on either the intake air (cools light) or on the exhaust side (cools air going into room).
fig.3 is Air moving thru radiator.
fig.4 is your reservoir (a plastic 55gal drum works best and can be found cheap on craigslist) will need one per 1kw light @least.
fig.5 is the pump that circulates the liquids from the reservoir to the radiator and back.
fig.6 is cool liquid flow to radiator
fig.7 is return "heated" liquid to reservoir.

well i went to the place today to start set up and was looking around the place and i think its way to big he told me 2000 sf well that would just be one room in this place. i told him i wanted a place with high roofs and lots of space but a warehouse im thinking thats to risky and a lot to heat when it drops to -30 out side im thinking now make a room for veg a room for clones and a room for flowering. but wanted to know if every week if i put say 10 plants in every week would i have a harvest of 10 plants a week after 1st harvest? im trying to tell him theres no way we and all the ppl we know who smoke could smoke all the weed hes thinking of geting me to grow i just want to grow so i dont have to buy weed i dont know how it was grown and taken care of. i like big plants cuz i grow outside so he wants me to try my luck inside i want to be a grower but not a dealer if you get what i mean. now this is the part that sucks i want soil i think it tastes beater he wants hydro cuz how fast it is but im not a fan i like the time spent with the plants
