That is called "stem rot".How long ago did this happen...looks like damage on main stem right at soil level.

Just experiment. Try making a splint from some tooth picks, pencil, wooden stick and some string and see if it can be saved.She will be fine they are the toughest plants in the world and can recover from almost any type of stress I've had some get ripped clear out of the ground severing the main taproot... I replanted and two weeks later growing away again like nothing happened...whatever you do don't love the plant too much, they do better with dryer mediums always use knuckle method...
