HELP! i may have just jacked my whole harvest

OH MAN!! i almost fucked it alll up!!! so i got it dried . a good dry... paper bagged it for a day...then it hit the mason jars everytime i stuck it in the mason jars it hit 70 RH... then i'd pop the top for half hour..mix the buds up pop the lid back on... been doing this for about 2 days.


it seemed that the water level in the buds were a tad too high but not bad.. but i wanted to lower the level a bit.. so last night... i open all the jars.... close the door to my grow box. hit the exhaust on and created negative pressure to try to get the outsides of the buds a lil more crisp so i can jar it for 10 hours until i pop it again.....

and of course... i had a small bud i plucked about 2 weeks ago dried and cured. smoked the shit out of it.. looked at the clock.. its 9:15 so i'll let the exhaust go for another 15 and then shut it off and close the jars. well... fucking weed i just grew.. knocked my ass OUT... i wake up at 12:30 SHIT! SHIT! SHIT!! THE BUDS!!!! oh fucking no........ so i go in.. turn the fans off... touch the buds... they feel really dry.... FUCK!!!! so i stuck the meters in and closed up the jars.


6 hours later... So i wake up go check the jars.. the one is hovering between 55-60- THANK GOD!!!! the 2nd one... not so good.. Hovering around 52 .. the jar with the huge colas... hovering around 55. last jar.... about 52. so i pour all the buds out... re jarred them and now i'm going to keep them jarred for a good few days and hope the levels go up..... SO did i just fuck it all up or do you think its okay and will gain back as long as i don't open them.

Next time wait until the stem significantly snaps while the bud is still hanging up. Trim down into jars. Skip paper bag it smashes and shakes the delicate bud.. It aint that easy to totally fuck your weed up though so don't fret. Honestly the way you describe it a few hours with the jar open probably did them a lot of good.

thanks for the input.. i always get so freaked out at this stage about over drying. the stem "snapped" but didn't break when i put them in the bag. and was still about the same when i jarred them. i've been doing some research and alot says as long as it doesn't go under 45 RH i'll be good. but those 3 hours really really dried them fast cuz of the pressure.

Patience - give some time for more of the moisture to move from the stems into the buds. You're not fucked.

if your checkin rh in jars, your making this way more difficult then it needs to be. dry, place in jars, burp for 5-15 minutes a day for week or so, wait 2 more weeks n fire up!...peace

LOL smoke one of the big buds and maybe forget about the whole harvest until next harvest?

if its really low you can throw a little fan leaf in there for awhile add some moisture back to your buds....

i tihnk it will be okay.. its rising slowly which is a good sign its pulling the moisture out of the middle of the buds... just had a scare there for a minute won't smoke again if i have to do something to them lol!!!! thanks for the reply though man!
