Help! I think the cops are watchin

Ok so this is my first grow and im growing outdoors in a shed. Im in the midwest and temps are cold as fuck at night, I am using a homemade growbox and running CFL's 10-42 watt and a 68 watt, temps in the box are about 75 at night lights on and 50 day lights off. I run a small space heater in intervals to keep it at least managable in there, my question is I may just be paranoid but it seems that the chopper has been flying over a lot lately and I woke up at 5 in the morning the other day and it sounded like they were hovering over my house. I have reflective insulation in the box, insulation in the shed ceiling, and some sitting on top of the box. So could they be looking at me cuz i dont want to shut it down but cant get busted, and i read they can look in sheds and garages with flid and obtain warrants, just never really noticed the chopper before. Any help appreciated guys

haha your paranoid... cops are looking for more important stuff then some weed plants. maybe they were just taking the chopper for a joyride.. now come on who wouldn't right? just relax smoke a bowl or whatever and don't worry if your growing alittle.. I don't know what laws your state has against weed but at most you would get is a fine and maybe a day in jail so they can ask you some questions. Your growing weed not making meth and herion so just relax your fine..

Mate, they aren't going to able to spot those CFLs heat through a shed. Unless you were running a 1000W HPS in there that you ain't telling us about, you will be fine. Like ^ said, they have much bigger fish to fry.

Totally the heat signature of CFL's is too low for IR reading. Dude this is your first grow you are just paranoid you need to chill.

Thats what I like to hear, I mean its well insulated and only 450 watts of cfls, ya and some dude hear got busted with 100 lbs and got 2 years probation but I mean my city aint that big and I could see cops fucking with me, but hopefully like you said Bigger fish to fry than four small beautys in shed

if some dude got popped off with a 100 lbs and he got off with 2 yrs probation thats definately a sign of SNITCHIN.... he done tricked off on somebody to pull that kinda sentence off...

flir is illegal without a warrant, though that doesn't mean cops don't break laws

regardless, I personally don't think you have a lot to worry about, but something to keep in mind. IR is measuring heat radiation. It really doesn't care what the heat comes from. CFL, HID, animals, people, stoves, heaters; they, and anything else that produces heat, will show up on them as standing out from the ambient temps. If you have a heated shed, and that heat is radiating through the walls/insullation, it will show up on IR. This doesn't mean they can see inside, they won't know what is creating the heat, just that it must be there, as they would see the results of it radiating from the outside of the walls.

It is legal in a building seperate from your house though, And they have been str8 hovering man. hope im paranoid though

I am in the Midwest and have ducks and a lot of dogs. The shed the ducks live in has a few high watt IR heat bulbs to keep them somewhat warm. Same thing for a converted garden shed for my dogs. I also have a outside hot tub set for 104 degree water. I have had those for years and never was questioned about anything and winter temps get to freezing to below zero.
You are correct about separate out buildings. Unless you have something making a lot of heat, your have a smell problem, or you have light leaking out where your light cycle can be seen...
Well, probably paranoid, but I am also a believer in following ones gut. Your call, probably nothing, but if they are hovering over the building that would make me paranoid also.

Seriously it just a couple plants in a insulated shed but every night they seem to be circling my house and this area where as I didnt notice it before. Hoping that im just paranoid cuz im too close to cut now. Any other suggestions as to what to do would be helpful, and yes Im already smoking but sometimes it doesnt quite relax me like id like, just too worried

Are you near an airport and/or have a search and rescue group in your area? You may be in a flight path for choppers that you didn't notice until now. Search and rescue teams do live fly practice but normally not at night. They could be military choppers getting night flying time in. It could be flight training that requires night training and the instructor is using your property as a marker to practice certain maneuvers over. Can you see what the chopper looks like? I have life flight fly over on a regular basis because I am in the flight path.
Search and rescue normally flies at 1000ft and ONLY comes down to 500ft when they think they see their target.
It's been years since I last flew but at the time the min. altitude over populated areas and structures was 500ft.

sounds like you in line with something im in a line with a medical trama center copters in and out-maybe news reports on major highways lots of reason for copters other then a few plants

I hear ya i think the paranoia is just gettin me cuz I know theres way heavier ops than this and this is pretty concealed as far as cops and suspiscion goes. hopefully Im just noticing them more now but im sure they have never been hovering at 5 am multiple times, but I guess if i post in a few months that I got raided youll know I wasnt just a noid. Fuck it im just gonna burn one and watch my beauties grow

What you really need to be concerned about and the number one reason for people getting busted is... telling people about your grow. Keep your mouth shut. No matter how proud you are of your babies do not say anything to anyone no matter how much you feel you can trust them. Word will get out. You will get a visit from the po-po. I have a legal grow with documentation and I still won't say shit to anyone about it.
