help ive made a boo boo,

Hi, found this site after id decided to "have a go", since ive started ive read and read etc and know ive rushed into things, the info and help here is amazing!! i started 10 girls off and was expecting a t5 unit, unfortunatly i was let down, in my haste i threw them under a 600 hps at a distance of 5-6 foot, the girls(blue mystic, from royal queen) seemed ok im using bio bizz light mix and am on week 2 so havent fed other then ro water, my ph is 6.7 -7, and other then a bit to much soaking of the soil and 2 have the smallest yellow tips on the first real leafs they look ok, not perfect by any means, the real problem i have is the stretch, they are 12 days now and between 4-6 inches with up to 9 leaves not including the cotylenes, my 600 mh is comming on wednesday (ballast takes both) ive had to steak a few of them am giving them the fan, my question is do i ditch them (really hope not) and restart, or is it worth having a go at burying the stems a bit and going with the mh, final height is not too much of a problem, but if some how i make it to the end without killing them id like a reasonable yeild, id really apreciate any views on this, from seasoned or new "gardners"

you want that light about 15inches away.. not 6ft..lower your light and place your hand between plants and light if your hand feels like its burning raise light until you can keep your hand there for 1 minute without burning.

should be somewhere between 12 - 18 inches

if the stems dont get better just tie them to some bamboo or something.

thanks for the comment, i was told to keep it that far away as they are so young, and 600 hps would dammage them, seemed to make sense to someone whos never done this before, i will indeed lower the light, in fact ill do it now, thanks for the advice,

i had mine under a 600w hps after 8days dont worry about it.
