Cal NORML is sorry to note that the DEA yesterday conducted its first medical marijuana raid under the Obama administration. Agents raided Ken Estes' Holistic Solutions facility in South Lake Tahoe, taking cash and product but not arresting anyone.
Supporters are urged to call the White House and ask that Obama act promptly on his pledge to end DEA medical marijuana raids. White House hotline phone is 202-456=1414.
Note that Obama still hasn't named a new DEA chief or Drug Czar and that the old Bush appointees for US attorneys are still in place. This isn't unusual, as it normally takes time for a new administration to take control. However, we should remind Obama that this is a problem that deserves quick attention.

I doubt that the Obama admin will take this topic as seriously as we all wish. If decriminalization of MJ is even considered, it won't be for a while.

Me and my girl were on way to west valley College when we heard the guy on NPR talking about how a lawmaker is seriously trying to pass the bill because of the economy sucking so bad. all i got to say is, for being smart people, they sure make alot of dumb moves. I would have legalized, set rules like u can't smoke till 21 just lkike alcohol. and make sure that weed being sold or bought is from America. That means, kill the weed coming in from out of the country. seriously that would be the best thing to do.

Yea see drugs and pollatics go hand in hand,i was led to belive that the new president of the united staes was going to change the way the dea looked upon users of cannabis.false promises yet again a raid and no arrest that spells out 1 thing to me money there in it for the money.This has no bearing at all to do with drugs but now in the uk speedcameras seem to be the goverments new way of makeing money.Someone needs to take a good look at cannabis in a lab to see what propertys it holds medicaly the testermony of thousands upon thousands of people saying it helps with so many differant illnesses,but can not be looked at in great detail because it is not allowed because the goverment have to have this power over the people.proabition does not work never has and never will if people like something or it is been used to treat something that causes a great deal of pain they will use it. It's like the guy with glacomber sorry about the spelling cannabis gave him is sight back it holted the problem that he was haveing,no one would stop useing something that was helping you from been blind even the judge agread with his barrister and the medical reports and he was given cannabis on prescription in the end.is it wrong for some who has aids and is dieing to use something that helps him more than the medication that the doctors are prescribing no it is not.something needs to be done but i fear that we are fighting a loseing battle.cannabis will not be made legal in the uk because of all the propagander that is on the tv about it.If it was made legal now it would make the govement look weak and the people had overthrown them.we don't want to go about smokeing it in school yards or even out side our own homes all we are asking is can we have the right to smoke something that we enjoy/or it helps us medicaly and after all if it is doing has much harm has the goverment say we choose to harm our selfs this is what this is about to me the right to smoke cannabis if i want.the goverments from around the world can then focus on the real drug problem heroin and cocain i personaly have been fighting a battle with these two drugs for 10years on and off and it was cannabis that helped me to sleep through the withdrawel but most of all i had a appitite.One thing that made me laugth was gordon brown sat in the good old english pub drinking a pint of beer nothing is ever mentioned about the problems that alcohol causes.The weekend in the uk are like a boxing match men fighting men woman fighting men every f@cker fighting every f@cker pure madness.Why is it ok to have something that makes you violent, talk shit,and causes more damage than cannabis could ever do no liver and kidney damage from smokeing cannabis.

yea, actually.. California lawmakers are considering a bill, right now, for taxation and regulation of marijuana.

mpp is going strong for our rights. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw decriminalization all around the states within the next 15 years

alright woo hoo its legal for every one you dont even need a medcard anymore its just like cigs and alcho. ....oh yea cigs should be banded hahaha hate cigs they trash the earth ...back to topic....the prices are already crazy i think espically since i know how much time and money it takes to grow and its the same amount almost for top notch and just alright ......but with the prices stay the same?? drop ??? or go up ?? i know about 5 years ago i got great nugs for good money every year it goes up and the nugs do get better but shit now were going to get taxed and i think the clinics are going to have to pay more money to stayopen so that means prices go up .......i dont know im totlay on a wake and bake first thread i saw and i just saw the new thing on the news about it being legal .........i am all for it but i know i am glad i am growing now cause prices are just going to sky rocket if this passes but blaze on and grow your own ...........hahaha they will problely legallize it but make it illegal to grow your own hahaha fucking goverment always getting there share

I'd probably continue growing myself, considering I only grow for myself. I would think that legalization would drop prices DRASTICALLY. It would be sold at every liquor store, and everywhere cigs are sold. Legalization would bust the market wide open, and many companies would jump on that. This would cause them to compete for lowest prices Right now the only reason dispensaries are so expensive is because there the only "legal" places to obtain MJ, and they're in limited supply.

yea that's very true but i have seen clinics right next door to each other .......weird shit they have to know there so close ..........but yea one clinic i went to was really gay walked out and a guy told me they were better walked down two stores to another clinic that was top notch ....... at first i thought the sucky one was a plant from the good one hahaha so we dont bitch about prices since the nugs were way better ..............but yea your right every one will try and get on it .......all the homies will be pissed thoe....but they have other shit to slang.........hahaha i want Marlboro cigs to stop making tobacco and jump on the cannabis .... i bet they already do on the low low.....saw someones aviator with Marlboro cannabis cigs hahaha thought it was real might be but i think someone might have made the pic
