help me improve MY design.. Please

basically i have two rooms. One in which I grow. The second where I keep the fans and ballasts and stuff. I'm scared to use the windows in case of light leaks and smell. So everything gets shot into the second room.

Still don't like circular design. 1. the duct pulls on lights. 2. i don't think it's cooling efficiently.

you need to exhaust outside the second room, you're basically circulating the hot air back and forth, it's not going to cool it efficiently this way. if you're worried about smell, get a filter.

i didn't finish the drawing. The intake goes into the second room and grabs it from outside (from a window).

It's easier for a fan to push air than suck it. Use rigid ducting instead of the flexible for more efficient air flow.

actually i like to pull air not push it... and long ducts and curves diminish venting, i like to get big ducts, makes much better venting.

Are you supplementing the first room (plant room) with CO2? If not, are you running a second fan to vent the grow room and replenish the CO2 supply for the plants?

If you aren't supplementing or venting, then I would recommend using the fan cooling your lights to also vent the room and replenish the CO2. Basically, that means removing the intake ducting to the the first light in the line, so that the intake air is being sucked in from the grow room. This has many benefits: less ducting means better airflow/cooling/fan efficiency, the CO2 is replenished, the humidity in the grow room will drop (good for flowering/mold prevention), better air circulation, and it will also help to keep the grow room cooler (assuming the air outside the grow room is cooler than inside).

Bear in mind you will need to have a sufficiently sized inlet to the grow room, sized to handle the the volume of air being sucked out of it. Also, I agree with Zem, pull the air through the lights don't push it.

Use a Y duct adapter. They connect a single fan to two other ducts, and are shaped like a "Y". Then you run each light linear style.
