Plants are 8 days old

leafs are turning yellow like N deficiency

there are 3 reasons why i believe this is happening..

1. N deficiency

2. Over watering

(watered every 2 days when soil was a still a lil moist, did not use nutes (foxfarm) untill last watering 2 days ago; i am now going to start every 3 days, ive been doing 2 days every time until last watering 2 days ago)

3. 24/7 lighting, ive been running lights constantly since they sprouted, i just turned on my timer starting tonight to 18/6

Let me know what you guys think, i really dont want to kill my first plants.. i know if i go the wrong way with this there dead.

maybe the 6 hours of rest will help them.. i first noticed this 2 days ago and when i checked on them tonight they had gotten worst

1/3 vermiculite
1/3 peat moss
1/3 pearlite

unknown strain, seeds from some bad ass nug that supposedly came from Cali, they called it Cantaloupe

Looks a lot like over watering, I used 24 hour a day lighting all the way through veg. Shouldn't be a problem. What lighting are you using? Also, because your growing compound is inert, meaning it does not affect the ph, there are no nutrients, maybe she's hungry?

too small for nutes yet
there are no nutrients, maybe she's hungry?
I just started nutes last watering ago!
one says too small for nutes another says maybe she needs em.. another member sent me this awhile ago

WEEKLY FEEDING- per Gallon
Sprouting and week 1--Big Bloom 2TBS

week 2-- 2tsp Grow Big + 2TBS Big Bloom

Week 3--3tsp Grow Big + 2TBS Big Bloom

On another thread i askd about 24/7 lighting and one said that 6 hours of rest was important for proper root development and so that the plant can break down the nute's the right way.

So at this point i beleive it is from over watering.. if its (N) deficiency that problem will soon be corrected.

:peace: Feed Back Please :peace:

no nutes yet. its too early, where did he say his soil was inert? he just said he had not fed it yet until last watering not his soil didnt have nutes in it.......
overwatering and nuteburn. water when the soil feels dry when you stick your finger 2 inches into the soil and it feels dry, wait to feed till week 3 or 4.

wow, they are wrong...... not only feeding too early they are feeding way too much too......start at 1/4 strength nute at first when you start feeding and work your way up to full strength slowly.

the Nute he is referring to is Big Bloom by foxfarm which is on the feeding schedule to begin at week 1.. Big bloom is very weak and shouldn't hurt the seedlings if you mix 1/4 the reccomended amount per gallon. This is as long as you are using FFoF and going strictly by the feeding chart, even though i wait till at least late week2 to give them their first nutes even if it is 1/4 thew dosage, just to be on the safe side. :leaf:

don't ever water until the soil is dry, overwatering is a very common mistake for first time growers, let the roots search for wetness in the soil, don't drown your plant. :leaf:

I said the soil was inert because he's using peat moss, perlite, and vermiculite, those three ingredients do not alter ph, therefore, they are inert.

Im using a soiless mix, no nutes in the soil itself

Okay id say my questions were answered,
Thanks all, im gonna use a very light mix of big bloom and only water when i need to.. the videos ive watched never covered much on watering
