HELP,mh lamp,which to use,dont understand colors.

Ok im getting ready for grow,I need 400w MH for veg,but i will run it throu entire grow combined with 600W hps,so this shop whic is in my city has odd lamps and I dont understand if they are good cus metal halide must have red and blue and these have this...
1.400w,neutral white,36000 Lm
2.400w,4000k cold white
3.400w philips,32500 Lm,4500k cold white
4.400w philips,32000 Lm,4300k cold white
5.400w,36000 Lm,neutral white.
And they sall say MET HAL,so I understand metal halide? or its metal hologen? i try look on google metal hologen it dont exist so its metal halide must be but where is blue and red colors,these only white....pls help...

You need bulbs in the right spectrum and color temp. Not all metal halides have a spectrum geared towards growing. I highly suggest ordering a grow specific bulb online or go to a grow shop. They should get you pointed in the right direction. For what its worth, I dont use any MH, I only use superHPS bulbs for veg and flower. does it just fine for me...

I think your backwards, and I think thats cfl strength. Hps and mh are more powerful.
2700k for flower
5500-6400k for veg

As for your question, its Metal Halide.
You want something like 7200k for a 400w mh.

But like Bubba said you can veg and flower with eiher light. Its more about the light times. The light spectrums are just optimal for veg and flower.

It's too bad we're stuck with Kelvin, a confusing and backward benchmark if there ever was one. It's fair to say that humans perceive red as a warm color and blue as a cool color. Just like a painter's wheel. But we use Kelvin, which says, "No, red is colder than blue."

If I was king of the world I'd make a decree that we all just say "blue for vegetation and red for flower". Then I'd make a decree that all bulb manufacturers have to clearly include the "Ganja Illumination Index" on their packaging and state where their bulb fits on that index. The Ganja Illumination Index would have already been invented because that had been decreed earlier in the day. By me. I'd be a busy king of the world.

MH also rocks for flowering. I have flowered with 6500k, and a 3000k mh and the buds produced are awesome. MH produces more UV and UVB than hps, which is like being at a higher elevation the yield loss is minimal but my flavors and density is way above than hps or super hps. I also flower with hps, I like both, MH is just a little better imho. Especially the lower Kelvin bulbs 3000-4000k I think are the ultimate flowering lights. And especially without air cooled hoods

Anyone knows the difference,so day light metal halide is best,cold white metal halide is in second place,but looking at my options I guess this :
1.400w,neutral white,36000 Lm
IS the best bet for me?
