004.jpg003.jpg002.jpgHi allThis is my first grow and have had a few overwatering problems but this looks worse.Because the plants werent growing too fast,i moved the 600hps lights to about 18 inches away from the top of the plants and this has happened.Does this look like Ive burnt the leaves and does anyone think that I should carry on with these couple of plants or will they recover or does this look like another problem?

Yo are you vegging or flowering with da hps lights?
They say you can veg with them but I don't do it!
All you gotta do is transplant'em babes into a bigger pots
with some good soil or better yet use dirt that they love
and once the roots get down in the fresh dirt they
should straighten up and take off!
At least a 4 or 5 gallon is cool~

They will recover. Just takes a time to bounce back. I would repot them into 3-5 gal containers as MGG said. When you do, bury a couple inches of the stem to shorten the plant profile. Make sure you have an accurate temp reading at plant canopy level. A cheap thermometer, properly placed will allow you to use maximum light while keeping your climate pleasing to the plants.

thanks a lot guys,I'm glad they'll recover. You've answered a question I was gonna ask about repotting.I've already bought 4 gallon pots and was gonna repot them in a few days, give 'em a little time to recover from my stupid mistake. Now,this being my first grow,I have no idea when to put them into flowering cycle.I have 20 plants which are now 5 weeks from seed(3 weeks under HPS light,2 weeks flourescent),2 of which are in the attachment.they're probably on their fifth set of main leaves and approx 12 inches in height(I had to prune a few yellow leaves that occurred because of overwatering). When do you think i should put them on 12/12,maybe repot to 4 gallon + another week to aclimatise(10 days from now) or shall i do it earlier?

I use the 5 gallon pot that are actually like 3.8 their all you'll will
need unless you're going really big!
It all depends on how much room you have for the height to know
when to switch to flowering. How high can your light go? And the
higher you let'em get the more that dies off on the bottom of the plant from
lack of light. You should top'em after the 5th or 6th set of leaves this is
for a shorter and bushier plant. After you switch to flowering plan on the
plants getting 3 times in size. So if the plant is 15" when you start flowering
plan on it being 45" plus the height of the pot is usually about a foot. This is what
I do you get a 4.5'-5.0' plant. You have to leave room for space between the lights
and plants depending on the size of your light~

Heat/light burn from the hid light. Keep it about 2-3' away . Can take a while to recover as it damages plant tissue and stresses the plant.
