Help: Phantom O.G. bud tips are turning black

The tips of my Phantom OG buds are turning black. I'm using Atami Bloom (pk 4-4) and Blossom Builder (pk 18-23), in addition to nearly all the other regular Atami nutrients (Atami Grow a+b, cal mag, silica,etc.). Could it be excess potassium? Plants are 30cm from a 250w HPS light. Humidity and temps are perfect. I feed the plants following the official feeding schedule from Atami. I give plain water with enzymes in between feeds, so the plants get fertilized only once per week to avoid nutrient lock. I started from small doses and increased gradually as the weeks passed, but the last week or so i gave them max quantities of Bloom and Blossom Builder according to the official Atami charts.

Plus I have a Peyote Critical next to it, and she is not developing dark tips... I fed them the same stuff. The only difference I can think of is that the Peyote Critical is an Indica dominant, so buds are more ripe. The Phantom OG is a little bit behind, I think I'll harvest her 1 week after cutting the Peyote Critical. I should be cutting the plants down in between the 8 to the 15th of May.

Anybody experienced bud tips darkening ?

I'm not a professional, though I made it through my first grow successfully. My opinion, looks normal and likely genetics or Temp/RH fluctuations from day to night causing color changes

Hey Tom, I don't think It's normal. None of the other Phantom OG's I saw on growdiaries showed a similar coloration... It should look like this

Nice looking nugg, super frosty...The black could be the phenotype...I recall reading on some different strains that they sometimes do turn black, like some turn a dark purple....But that's just a guess and I'm not familiar with this strain.

I see a few tips turning purple and the buds appear to have a high leaf to calyx ratio. I'm not a fan of trying to pump up buds with P/K. It can stunt flower growth and cause the buds to stop growing. You can overnute flowers.

Could be something, could be nothing... temperature swings from light time to dark time cause color changes..if it gets worse and begins looking like it's dying off, then I'd be concerned

The bud pictured looks like it took the phantom cookies side, if you grew it from seed then that would explain it.

Look up "pheno hunting" and see how most of us get around it.

Yes I grew from seed. Barney's farm. Thanks all for the answers. I just panicked cause I wasn't expecting her to change color like that my bad. Let's see if with less P/K the buds will fatten up too.

Temps fluctuate in between 18c / 20c at night, and 24 to 25c during day....
