Help!! Plants recovering from pH issue, need advice on nutes

Can someone let me know when i should be watering with nutrients again last feeding was before transfer to 2 gallon fabric pot 8 days ago. They to a hit on the bottom leaves from my PH being to high, was told i should use Cal Mag with next feeding. Thoughts?? Ideas???? First. grow. ever. lol

Assuming you potted into nuted soil, no need to feed for a few weeks. Having a little cal/mag in your water is always good.

You need to water different. Water the soil thoroughly. Water until 20% runoff.

If you're using a rich soil water should be enough for now. Just snip off those damaged leaves or at least the damaged bits. Then you'll know if it's a continuing problem or just a problem that has been corrected by re-potting. The upper growth looks real healthy.

Like WhiteBB says, soak them down good and wait until the pots feel real light before soaking again.

I don't do the 20% runoff thing but also use nothing but RO water so don't get toxic salts buildup in my pots like what happens when hard, 200+ppm, tap water or excess nutes are used. Feed, water, feed, water and listen to your plants. Don't overthink things or fuss too much and you'll be fine.

Can't agree with that. Should soak the pot good and wait for the plant to use up the water down below. As the surface drys out the plant will send roots into the moist bottom of the pot and suck that up. Watering too soon will leave stagnant water in the bottom and that's where root rot can start. I aerate all the RO water I give to my plants to make sure there's as much O2 in it that it can hold.

Lifting your pots when fully soaked down to where the leaves start to droop will give you a feel for the right time to soak them down. You want to water them just before the leaves start to droop. Doesn't really hurt them tho they may drop some older fan leaves that weren't reall doing much for the plant anyway.

I measure how much it takes to totally soak the pot down then just fill a marked milk jug to that level and dump it in and walk away. When doing lots of pots the same size I mix all my nutes up in a 5gal water jug with an airstone going and do them all in one batch. K.I.S.S. Keep It Simple Stoner!

I'm grow water only organic. I don't need run off either.

20% may be a bit much. There are different ways to water with bottled nutes.

My preferred way is to mix at 1/4 strength and feed with everywatering with some run off. If they look fine I might give them plain water every so many waterings. If more is needed just bump the ratio up until they are happy.

Some like to mix it stronger and alternate water, feed, water, feed, etc.

Ask ten people how to do something and you will get 10 different ways.

Thanx, I'm pretty sure i had a phosphorous deficiency due to only using RO water I have been super hesitant to water with nutes as i was not sure what was going on as it only happened after i transplanted directly into FFOF soil, i should have done a 50/50 mix but i thank it should be good to give nutes again now. What do you think?

You aren't going to get a P deficiency because you use RO water as that FFOF soil is rich in nutrients and your plants are still fairly small so in 2gal pots you shouldn't need to ad any nutes until flowering when they could use some extra P and more importantly K. During the stretch period they eat up to 4x as much nutes including N as they do while in veg mode. I've do constant monitoring of my ppm in DWC as I rarely change nutes but just add small amounts in the proper ratio to maintain the target ppm that I want to keep. I was really surprised to see the increase in daily ppm drop as they transitioned into flowering the first time.

Those bottom leaves that are brown in those pics are likely the result of being so close to the damp soil and/or splashed with water and should be snipped off in case it's a fungus thing going on and will allow better air flow around the base of the plants.

I wouldn't add any nutes yet. I've used ProMix Vegetable and Herb mix with just a bit of added perlite to start new seedlings in small pots and as the plants got bigger and bottom leaves started to yellow with slower growth just repotted into a bit bigger pot with fresh ProMix V&H and they took off again. Like 1cup size pot to 2 cup size then 1L - 2L and the plants grew healthy as any I'd grown before. Nothing but RO as I ran that little experiment under CFL lights until they were 18" or so tall then into 4 gal pots of ProMix HP and AN nutes under HID light.
