Hi all so I recently flipped this plant to flower at about 18 inches I did the flip on the 21st of July with no signs of preflowers and it has shot up about 8 inches in these few weeks obviously noticed some hairs just forming about 2 weeks into flower but what I was wondering is my lights strong enough ? I have attached the first 2 photos which show growth from the 2nd of august then the other photos was taken of today’s growth but I would have thought there would be a lot more bud growth by now ? I have these lights which I bought off eBay which are only cheap but are led purple uv grow lights supposedly energy saving and can easily replace a 600w hps with only using 40 watts of actual power apparently equivalent to 1000w am I where I want to be this far into flowering ? I also have a floodlight on side of extra lighting, any advice would be greatful, I have also attached photo of the lighting I am using it’s my first grow so please don’t troll me

Minimum flowering lights for me would be 250 actual watts or more
Why handicap your potential with cheap lights ?

If I’m honest it come out of a seed so I bought a cheap light see how it went didn’t know if was female or not till now but don’t really want to splash out more money on a light for it if I’m only gonna get a certain amount and it’s my first time

Well if you can get by on a few grams per run
Go for it

Nothing about that plant says an oz of yield

I mean them lights have grown it all the way through to be honest pretty impressed it grew it
Herbs is right though. The plant has grown fine since most of the energy has gone toward growing and that can be gathered from all those fan leaves. Once you switch to flower, that light won't penetrate even probably 4 inches in to that canopy. It is pretty dense so you are looking at maybe an 8th to a quarter on that top cola and maybe that much as well in airy bottom larf. Not much but I will say this. The plant doesn't look half bad. Decent job growing it through veg. But next time invest a little more in yourself. $130 and you can get a Mars TS1000 that would get you about a couple of ounces if not more as you learn to grow more and crop your plants to your light.
