you don't water them at all, and you don't need the light on until they sprout. If your soil is moist it should take a week to dry out at least, depending on size of container.
Overwatering is the #1 killer of indoor grown plants.

water them when the soil is dry. so maybe once every other day. less water is more. you dont want to drown them. thats what I do with my grow and have seen my friends do the same and they grew some nice buds.

What I do was take a spray bottle and spray the top of the soil with 10 spritz's and wait until the soil is dry to do it again, then I have lights on for 18/6 once they sprout they'll seek the light and the added warmth will help the seedling sprout quicker good luck !! Wooopp!!

I water them VERY LITTLE only when they are light and dry. About once every 2 or 3 days. I keep the light on 24/7.

I start my seeds in peat pucks, in a heated seedling flat. Once they pop out, I put em under 1 23w T3 FL 24hrs of light till roots start sticking out the peat pucks (Usually 3-5 days). Then I transplant them in to something bigger and use the 400w HPS on 18/6.
