hi please see attached photo ,sorry for not being excellent quality but these iphones take really shit photos especially when you zoom in, ive been having some trouble with my baby, i use premium soil, ph of soil registers 6.0 on the meter, feed her rain water and use a 15w 2700k warmwhite globe and 150w flood light with a all round all purpose feed. But if you look at the bottom of the stem theres a bulg which has cracked open on two sides and is hollow, also the leaves on top are dark green but the lower leaves are yellow, what is calsing this, the plant is only small but already in the flowering stage. any help would be greatly appreciated.cheers

the stem issue looks like you keep it too wet, like that stuff on top stays wet. the plant looks too small to flower, the all around fertilizer , that could be a problem cause budding needs less N, make sure to use a bloom fert.... im not a pro, but thats my take on it.

Hey Reece, welcome to RUI!

We need better pictures to give you good advise, the colour on this is too washed out to read the plant properly. Did you intentionally put your plant into flower?

.

"i use premium soil"

What kind? Was it prefertilized?

.

"ph of soil registers 6.0 on the meter, feed her rain water"

Do you measure the PH of your water AFTER adding all nutrients? Should be 6.3 - 6.8.

.

"and use a 15w 2700k warmwhite globe and 150w flood light with a all round all purpose feed."

Is the flood a halogen? They burn very hot and may cook your plants, HPS or MH for HID. LED and CFL take more skill to get decent buds.

.

"But if you look at the bottom of the stem theres a bulg which has cracked open on two sides and is hollow"

Stems will grow a bulg if they are damaged or weak in an area, some times they split. I would add soil to cover split if it is at the base. Otherwise just leave it unless it is weak, it will heal.

What is the strength of the stem?

.

"the leaves on top are dark green but the lower leaves are yellow, what is calsing this, the plant is only small but already in the flowering stage"

It's probably a nitrogen deficiency and the plant is giving the nitrogen in the least important leaves - the lower fan - and transporting it to the buds and top leaves, causing the bottom to look yellow and the top to look dark green in comparison.

What kind of food? What is your light schedule?

Hi thanks for the welcome guys its great to be here and find such an informative site,to answer the questons,
(1)"i use premium soil"What kind? Was it prefertilized?- I use Yates Premium potting mix(includes dynamic lifter(organic fertilizer, water wise)[/COLOR]

(2)"ph of soil registers 6.0 on the meter, feed her rain water"

Do you measure the PH of your water AFTER adding all nutrients? Should be 6.3 - 6.8. - After placing the ph meter in the soil it registers 6.0

(3)"and use a 15w 2700k warmwhite globe and 150w flood light with a all round all purpose feed."
is the flood a halogen? They burn very hot and may cook your plants, HPS or MH for HID. LED and CFL take more skill to get decent buds.- The flood light is halogen, put my hand under to make sure not to hot, the other 15w 2600k globe is directly above the plant

(4)But if you look at the bottom of the stem theres a bulg which has cracked open on two sides and is hollow"

Stems will grow a bulg if they are damaged or weak in an area, some times they split. I would add soil to cover split if it is at the base. Otherwise just leave it unless it is weak, it will heal.

What is the strength of the stem? Strength of the stem is strong and stiff

(5) "the leaves on top are dark green but the lower leaves are yellow, what is calsing this, the plant is only small but already in the flowering stage"

It's probably a nitrogen deficiency and the plant is giving the nitrogen in the least important leaves - the lower fan - and transporting it to the buds and top leaves, causing the bottom to look yellow and the top to look dark green in comparison.

What kind of food? What is your light schedule- I fed it one teaspoon of yates acticote instant booster which contains instant boost,12 month gradual feeding, increased flowering, has nitrogen phosphorous, potassium, calcium, magnesium, boron in it. And my light schedule is 12/12
