da baby.jpgNewbie here, looking for sum advice. I'm starting my 1st indoor grow, and I sprouted several seeds from some good smoke I ran across. Anywho, I have 1 in particular that I sprouted and she is on her 3rd set of leaves, with the height of a 2-3 month old plant. I'm fertilizing with a 18-6-8 on a 12/12 cycle. I water maybe every 2 days. Can someone pls give me some advice on what I can do to nip this problem in the bud, ALL PUN INTENDED!!!! Thanks for the input.

Will post pics as soon as I figure out this upload thingamajig

your lights are pprobably way to high drop the lights right down depending on what lights your using? hps 18inches, cfls 2 inches then once they get few more leaves you can start topping her look for article on topping from uncle ben but it definatley sounds like your lights way to high

You do realize you did not allow this plant to go through it's veg period, right? Most grow their plants under lights for 18-24 hours a day for a few weeks before going 12/12.
Also, you are feeding it growth ferts now, and if ya wanna flower, you shouldn't be.

You can start over . . . by cutting this streeetched plant off down at the 1st/2nd node, then lighting/growing it properly.

If it were my plant i'd transplant into a hempy bucket all the way up to the top nodes. perlite, vermiculite, lucas/GHfloraN

doesnt get any easier.

you need to specify what your light source is. if cfl build a quad cfl. they should be inches from the plant. If HID there are many variables but yeah, you plant needs all the lumens you can thro at it.

Im using a 120 watt 120 volt Agro BR40 Plant Grow light which i picked up from HD for about $7

Does it look like this:

http://www.elightbulbs.com/catalog_product.cfm?source=GoogleBaseCSE&prod=PL227256

I can't seem to find any information on the kelvin rating of that bulb, so it's possible that the bulb is the problem (the link I posted says it's an incandescent bulb, which aren't any good for growing cannabis).

If cheaper=better, then go pick up some CFL bulbs. You can get a 3-pack of 26 or 42W bulbs for under $10 and surround your plant with light, or get a single 100-150W bulb for under $20. Put them as close to the plant as possible without burning it.

He did say it was only one of few seedlings that were doings this.

I'm on my 2nd grow and have 6 seedlings (and 15 clones) under a 400w HPS. Only one of them is doing this kind of stretching. I highly doubt it's a lighting issue in my case.

I say it's just a weak seed, and if the others are doing better just get rid of it
