Help! Spider Mites in Final Weeks

I've got 3 to 4 weeks left but my spider mite problem is getting way out of hand.

Tried ladybugs..worthless.

Using alcohol and water to keep them down ( it does kill them but you have to keep it up ) Does not affect plant...not even buddage. The pistols don't even seem to mind. Worried about trich dilution though as alcohol can dry them out pretty quick even in no light.

Keeping temps down and RH up to slow them down...also spraying with cold water 2x daily.

Harvest is going to be crap regardless...

Since I first spotted them ( clones from dispensary ) I used Neem and alcohol / water to combat them...

Thought they were under control...threw in a few thousand lady bugs to make sure.

Closed tent so they can't escape....they eat a few but not enough.

Have found only a two small webs.( 6 plants )..about the size of my thumb ( over the last month ) but leaf damage is horrendous. ( as far the spotting goes )

Spots a crazy...but no real leaf damage like I've seen other people have..webs around buds..leaves discoloring and falling off..crisping etc..none of that stuff.

Just white spots and those 2 tiny webs...and of course the mites and their eggs.

They have really cremated my Grape Apes...my Kushes and Cali Mist seem to be holding their own..they have spots but nowhere the damage the GA have. ( They came in on the GA..goddamn dispensary )

Not ready to throw in the towel yet..if I saw webbing like I've seen in pics especially on the buds..they would be dumpster food.

Going to store now to try Fruit and Berry spray..or that Grenaium spray or something organic.

Also going to get that Hotshot doo dad

Desperate..!!!

Learned my lesson..never had them before..hate them!

But can't restart due to summer heat ....need this harvest and the rest of the last harvest to make it until fall...so almost 7 months until next harvest !

spider mites suck suck suck, and at this point there isn't really much you can do.. I read somewhere that NASA uses really high concentrations of CO2 to kill bugs, You could always try that if you use co2.. Sorry for the bad luck and that's really shitty that they sold you some infested clones...

Ya rinse them with grape juice, that's the best advice I have ever heard... If you want MOLD

i feel for you man last year i was growing 18 plants indoors all sweettooth, my spider mite infestion got so bad they were creating webs all over the buds. if yours hasnt gotten to that stage your buds are definetly gonna be smokable (and sellable if thats what you choose). when you trim it just make sure you trim the leaves with a lot of mites as far down as you can.

spider mites are extremely hard to get rid of i find the only way is to prevent them.

try your local hydro store for a miticide specially formulated to kill spider mites on contact and it has a 21 day residual so that any mites that come in contact with the leaves in the next 21 days will be killed
South Bay Hydroponics definetly carries it. i'm not sure though how late into flowering you want to use it

Let me elaborate : when they are ready for harvest, trim all branches dip in grape juice, (to make sure any residue will be removed) and i hang upside down, the grape juice is acidic and a fan will remove grape juice in 15 min of hanging upside down, the resin will dry as usual. or you can try max way.... Oh wait, he just said it sucks... and raise your co2 LOL LOL LOL ha ha ha Please try his way first, tell me how that works out for ya.... LOL LOL

Only 2 small webs at the V where the branches leaves the main stalk.

I kept them slowed down but not stopped... from lookig aat last nights damage report ...not even slowed down enough.

I just got back from getting No Spider Mites...it's supposed to be organic and easy on the plant. ( Can be used up to harvest )

If isopropyl alcohol / water didn't bother my plants.. I don't think Germanium oil, cottonseed oil, rosemary oil etc is going to do much harm.

I have a month..gotta try something.

I grow only for myself and a few needy others..I don't sell...( Colorado red Card holder ) and I desperately need this crop as it will be 7 months before the next harvest ( due to heat..even with AC )

I got a full Mason jar of my last harvest left...plus what I might get from this one...( maybe 2 ounces out of all 6 plants...my last harvest was 5 ounces cured weight off of 3 plants..all top shelf )

I just feel sorry for all those other people I used to give it to for free...now there won't be anything.

I give half my crop away to other Red Card holders ( AIDS, Cancer only ..none of this tennis elbow crap )

Again..if I saw webs on the buds...dumpster....and get used to smoking one joint a day until Oct.

Update :

Just sprayed....took them one by one to the shower and sprayed them, left them in dark to dry.

Cleaned room...well as good as someone with crushed spine can anyway.

Returned plants to tent.

Released remaining LBs.

Increased fan speeds...raised RH.

Will continue with spray and water treatment.

I realize it's only a stop gap measure ( and an expensive one...30 bucks to spray 6 plants...and I'l need to buy the bigger bottle next time )

But I need this harvest ! I don't have the money to buy from dispensaries..not even at 25 an 1/8 ( I't cheap and good here ) All my meager money went into growing my own.

I haven't bought any since I got my license two years ago and I'm not about to start. ( nor can I afford to ) My other meds are already bankrupting me.

Only if we could grow outside...

I agree.. im new to the forums but have been growing for years and never heard of that.. sounds like your just going to ruin all your hard work with mold

also, if you plan on getting more clones in the future from clubs, i always dip the entire clone in a mite killer/water solution to prevent any mites from ever attacking. i use this shit called Avid and it works wonders if you can get your hands on some, only product ive found to kill mites COMPLETELY and a tiny bit goes a long way

**ouch, sorry to hear about your spider mite infestation.. mites are the worst, especially in bloom
i would suggest to use SNS mite control (tho its a bit pricey, but works the best IMO).. neem oil works also, but its not ideal sprayed on flowers.. (lol trust me, doesnt taste good)
--only thing you can do is drop temps (i would suggest 62f-lower) raising RH past 55% is also helpful BUT watch out, if your budding --its not wise to have high hums..

You guys don't need to fight.

I'm not about to use any chemicals on my plants...soil and nutes are organic...so are the teas.

And I'm am not about to stick my buds into anything to remove the toxins from something...if a normal two week flush doesn't solve it...I am sure as hell not going to be putting that in my lungs.

I'm already dying, I don't want to speed up the process....I'll buy weed if I really have to.

So anyway I Sprayed them with the stuff...Calis and Kushes look good..GAs are still funky looking though. Waiting for light to come on to get a good look.

Been getting alot of brown hairs on my GAs lately. don't know if it's because they are getting close to done, turning hermie, or just the mite devastation. ( Crystals are still clear and few and far between )

My other plants hairs are still white....

I'm guessing it was the mites as they sure loved the GAs over the Kush or Cali..

And I passed on the Hotshot thing ....I'll spend the extra coin and time to keep it organic.

200 a year is cheaper then 200 a month and I usually have plenty to give.

If this year the Ganja gods demand a little more..it is the price I must pay.

keep humidity up ! not down , u might need a better sprayer so it actually sweep away those fuckers , 22c is considered high temp for mites

i also use sns but only on veg , if i could use anything natural i could go with sulphur ...

Instead of hijacking another thread for this subject I wanted to discuss using CO2 to kill spider mites and other bugs in the garden. I am posting how I have used CO2 for this process and invite others to share their techniques or questions.

CO2 works great for killing any creepy crawlers I usually only use it on Clones as I consider any veg/mother/flowering plant as something I would only control the infestation until that plant is harvested and the room is sterilized. Trying to kill mites on a full size plant is a losing venture. Yes they do crawl down into the media and lay eggs all over the plant surfaces (usually hanging under the leaves)

If your rooms gets infected, take cuttings of each strain you want to keep and remove them from the area to be cleaned of bugs, and then work on totally removing everything on the floor from your grow area, sterilize it and all equipment, then only return cleaned genetics or seedlings back into your areas. Once you have rooted clones that are clean, turn everything else over to flowering and get it over with
