Might affect yield slightly but thats all. Tis the season for thrips. Them and mites use wind to get around so probably came in from outside by themselves. In Europe we seem to get thrips and mites when the winds blow from the south (hot dessert winds bring beasties).
I use a non pesticide which is basically just a wash. Kills the thrips quick like (edit see attached pic).
Also yellow sticky traps (thrips attracted to yellow).
Or squish em when you see em and ride it out. They are fast moving little buggers though. Good luck. Don't stress they are not as bad as mites and the product is still good to use. But.....if you don't break the cycle they are around forever.

The good news as DST said is unlike spider mites they will mess up your leaves but they shouldn't be a problem on or inside of your buds the way spider mite would be.
