1ST POST

Hi all,

I'm a first time grower that's having problems as expected and need advice on what can be improved in my set up to help my little ones grow.

here's a list of what is being used..

Grow Area: (H) 28" (W) 22" (D) 25"

Plagron Light-Mix, with perlite.
1 x 125w Envirolite (Blue/White)
1 x 125w Envirolite (Red - not in use till flowering)
Bio-Grow Liquid Plant Food (8.0 - 2.0 - 6.0)
Hesi Bloom Complex (Flowering)
Hesi Super vit

This is the basics for now, as i'm trying to keep down costs and be as "hush-hush" as possible.

Each time i try the plant seems to sprout through with the 1st set of leaves, it then gets it's first set of normal leaves and then after a few days these start turning brown. The plant going at the moment does not seem to be growing either, this maybe something to do with the seed still being on when sprouting through the soil??? also with a red stem!

I know that it seems like something to do with nutrients, but the plant was only 1 week old and shouldn't of needed them yet, right?

It's now at almost 2 weeks since sprouting and is very small, the 1st set of normal leaves have almost fully turned brown, it has grown a 2nd set but i'm sure these will do the same. Again, it's still at about the same height as 1 week ago, 1.5 inches.

So I gave it nutrients to see if it helps now that it's at around 2 weeks, hope this helps but not hopefull..

ANY COMMENTS, SUGGESTIONS, FEEDBACK AND HELP IS VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!!!

I have started another seed because of the poor progress of this plant... but don't want the same thing to happen again:spew:

Kind Regards,

THANKS FOR THE RESPONSES SO FAR, HERE'S THE UPDATED INFO:blsmoke:

The strain is white Skunk from White Label Seed Co (from dam)
the temps are 25.c - 28.c in day 19.c - 20.c at night
The light sced is currently 18/6
1 x 125w Envirolite 1 - 2 inches from plant - so no stretching, really short but stem looks fine.

The leaves started turning brown very early, before any nutes.

I do have a 12" fan turning so circulating air which is keeping humidity at an average of 45%

-------------------

OK... I have attached a pic for you examination.. hope it works.

The unit is currently at 23.c and 48%

I'm only using the 125w Blue/White Envirolite at the moment and was planning on adding the 125w Red envirolite at the fklowering stage. I read this would be enough for 1-3 plants???

Over watering! My own worst enemy... me:cry:

Thanks a lot, I had a feeling it might of been that, overwatered early on but didn't think it would effect it this long.

Would the leaves continue to brown? How much water should it be getting and how often?

thanks again,

Let the top one to two inches of the soil completely dry out before you water again. She may end up drooping a bit from less water in the soil. Try to let it go until you get at least an inch, if not more, on the top of the soil dry.
Its much easier to bring a plant back from water deprivation than it is to bring one back form overwatering. :-)

Good Luck.
