First time grower. Buying everything i need to build a grow box. I plan on using an armoire and growing just one plant of Master Kush at a time. Just have a few basic questions. What should i line to walls with? Does a small box with 1 plant need co2? if so, whats the best way to get it to the plant. Also i am using soil. any other advice or tips will be appreciated.

you can paint it flat white or put mylar
no need for co2.... but, if you want to. build a cheap yeast/co2 bottle system

If I don't really need it I'm not going to do it. At what point is CO2 needed? I'm thinking about planting 2 plants. Also what's the order like with MK? If its really strong, what can I do to manage it.

you need exhaust fan to replenish air. you will also need the proper lighting depending on the space that you have. tell us the LxWxH of your armoire.

i pretty much have the lighting down. 2 150w cfls. plan on hanging them 2 inches away from plants. i'm guestimating here but i would say 4x2x3 in feet. like i said thats a guess. Its not sitting in front of me at the moment. Did paint it white today though. will post pic soon. Still waiting on seeds. ordered them from the single seed centre

get a 400w HPS, don't even consider CO2 now, just fresh air with exhaust

As for odor, you can make a DIY carbon filter for like $10 and that should be great for 1 plant from what I understand. Here's the link: https://www.rollitup.org/do-yourself/101248-best-diy-ez-walmart-carbon.html

Make sure your exhaust fan is sucking air through this filter (this filter has a 4" end, so maybe consider a 4" duct fan or use a 6" duct fan w/a reducer sleeve)

Also, I learned the hard way...make sure if your exhaust hole is 6", then you have 9" of intake (3 x 3" holes for example). You'll still have negative pressure and this helps keep air exchanged and temps down in small spaces.

Before you start to grow...get your set up totally complete and test temps w/max lighting you think you'll use....trust me, you don't want to have to be solving temp issues when your girl is growing....I killed 2 girls that way.

Good luck!

Temp is exactly why I'm not using HPS. Its already hot as hell here where I live. Can I find a video on how to make an exhaust. Sounds complicated.

I have no idea on how to make this exhaust fan, how to install it, or where to put it. help please!!!!!
easy, buy an exhaust fan, look at its cfm (cubic feet per minute) it must change the air in your box 3x/minute, make a hole on top of box where it fits blowing outside and place it there with screws and some glue, then make hole in bottom of box where air can get in

I can't see a holes for the exhaust in that box.. exhaust fan must pull the air to the outside with a hole where air can pass in freely

okay this is fine, you also need a hole for passive intake preferably in the bottom of box

you have a carbon filter? you never mentioned that, it should be just before the exhaust fan so that the air gets pulled through it

It's not very big. My dumbass put it on the outside though. I'm thinking about Knocking the divider out of there. And putting in more lights.
