Hey wassup guys and gals,

I have a question on what type of lighting will yeild me more buds. I am thinking on purchasing a 400W MH/HPS light fixture and use the MH for vegetation stage and the HPS for the flowering stage. But as I went throught this forum, it seems like CFL's are actually good. I don't want to increase in watts. I need help please.

400 Watt MH/HPS or 400 Watts of CFL's?

400 w HPS/MH Would be best or a 200w envirolite blue for veg and a 200w envirolite red for flowering. 400w of CFLs is a lot of bulbs.

Go with 600 Watts of MH/HPS Illuminating Power w/Cool Tube. That's how to get Big Buds.

Comparing CFL's to MH/HPS is like comparing a Sock Puppet to Jessica Simpson.

get atleast a 400watt switchable so you can use both mh/hps, or a 600watt or even a 1000watt! HTGsupply has 400watts for $120. stay away from CFLs, dont let those retards suck you in to their world of shwaggy, whispy, mediocre weed.

Thanks for everyones quick response, I really appreciate it. I think I'm going with the 400W MH/HPS only because of electrical bill cost. Thanks everyone!!!

get the 400w hps/mh ballast then get you a phillips ceramic metal halide (aka. hps retro white) lamp. Phlips MasterColor Ceramic Metal Halide ~ CMH ~ HPS-Retro White
Are you suggesting to run this bulb instead of just a MH bulb? On the Spectrum graph it shows that the red is the higher wavelength, not the blue. Isn't the blue wavelength for the vegetation stage? Just wondering or is the Phlips MasterColor Ceramic Metal Halide ~ CMH ~ HPS-Retro White good enough for the whole growing process? thanks
