i cut this clone on Aug. 11th, its been sitting in water with sun/cfl every now and than (i was told not to give it ALOT of light). it was just sitting in a cup of water, now its in water with an air pump blowing bubbles at the end of the stem... will this help grow roots better? also it has little white bumps at the end of the stem, are these signs of roots?

did you say water.........and air bubbles,,...i would stop the bubbles tho,, in my expeariences you dont want any air to enter the end of the stem when clonning...and i would get it out of that water and into some medium for better rooting results.. dip in rootin gel, then rooting powder, and into medium pod...

You need to stop playing with it and leave it alone because you can very easily break little root and root hairs. yes, air is very good. You dont want your clones water supply getting any direct sunlight. It should keep growing, just let it do its thing. Also DONT cut off fan leaves, tuck them, tie them, just dont cut them off unless they are at least half dead. You can cut leaves in half to cut down on green material needing water while rooting.

Should take 10-21 days and requires little light at first. A 26 watt white cfl works great. 24 hour light is best imo.

You are doing it right the bubbles will keep the water fresh the only thing you could do better is temp make sure the water stays around 75 - 76 and it will root I think you are right though those little white bumps are the beginning of the roots you are on the right track dude!

There are many ways to take cuttings but I like this way best in water I like to have warmer water than air 76 for water temp 70 for air temp the water temp is most important though hotter that 76 increases chance of rot below 76 will hinder root growth you get the idea!
