help with dish soap for bug spray+ rep

a few crops ago i hade a problem with spider mites and other bugg. A friend on here told me to use a dab of regular generic, non scent dish soap, and i did spray it on my leafs with fantastic results, it killed all of them and diden`t come back.
My question is can anyone tell me if i could use any dish soap? Their is no way i can get any kind of bug spray, neem oil or anything and the only thing i have to use is this dish soap, can aqnyone tell me if it would be cool to use? + rep to anyone that can help.

Which Soap Is Best?
The best type of soap for killing insects is debatable; some recommend pure castile soap or liquid hand soap (like Ivory), but others endorse various name brand liquid dish liquids (most often Dawn and Ivory). Detergents are good choices because they are not affected by minerals in hard water, unlike non-detergent soaps. However, detergents are reputed to be more damaging to plants if used excessively. If you choose to use a dish detergent, make sure to rinse your plants within an hour of applying the insecticide. Also, do not spray plants on very hot or humid days, as the plant will be more prone to burning. Always test a small area of the plant that is not too visible before applying and insecticide. Some species, especially those with lightly colored foliage, are more likely to be burned by soaps.

Most dish soap is fine just avoid the bottles that have "Oxy Clean" type stuff or bleach/bleach alternatives in them. I use what ever dish soap is under the sink when I need it.

Didn't know about rinsing it off. I've used dish soap and water on indoor houseplants and never rinsed them. Glad I've not done the spray on my girls cuz I would not have rinsed. Thanks for the info. :)

in the past i never rinsed, not once and my plants came out just fine, and i did it to atleast 20+ plants, but from now on i will rinse, kinda makes sense. thanks for the info.
i just sprayed with soap spray and waited an hour and rinsed. I fucking hate bugs on my herb, sucks. i got a shit load of missing leaf, holes, mostly on the bottom, mostly caterpillers, and mites, but i think this`ll do it.

I am getting ready to use some kids bubbles which were recently recommended to me by a 20+ year grower. He said that kids bubbles are gentler than grease stripping detergents which makes sense to me. First spray at lights on!

Garlic , chili pepper is a good option.
Even when you put couple garlics on your soil it disgusts the insects away I think
Soap can be one of those use for their facial acnes or pimples to heal and fade fast

I would get dish soap in a liquid. It is cheap enough. I use Dawn.
Here is a good mix that I have used from a Canadian site:

Dish soap, Hydrogen Peroxide and Isopropyl alcohol aka rubbing alcohol. You can get the three ingredients from Wal Mart for about $3.50 or the Dollar Store for about $3. Dollar Store only has 50% alcohol.
