I'm sure you'll get different replies on this, but flowering basically starts when you see the pistils, not the exact day you switch lighting schedule.

Really hard to say on the Flowering, I've grown plants that 50-55 days flowering that have finished right at the range from the day I flipped the lights (I go by trichomes), but I'm sure there are those that can say they went by when they saw pistils and it was 55 days.

Due to the fact that growers should not be really bothering with the suggested flowering times of a plant, but rather harvesting when it' ready, it doesn't really matter when you consider the start of flowering. I always just class mine as day 1 flowering is day 1 of 12/12 for convenience sake then harvest when ready, typically 8-9 weeks with the exodus cheese.
