Help with harvesting - where are my buds?

Hi all,

I'm sure this is a dumb question, but it's my first time so please bear with me.

I had a plant that was not doing very well - leaves droopy, growing slow, little smell. But, I got to the flowering stage and it has produced quite a few little whitish and amberish hairs so I decided to harvest to see what I could get out of it.

See the attached pictures, though. You cn see all the hairs, but where are the buds?? Did I harvest way too early? Or will they look more "bud-like" once they have dried?
