Help with reveging.

Ok, so here is the big question. What is the best way to reveg? Should I cut the main stem and leave a few budsites for it to grow out, or should I snip of all the little stems whith the buds on? And also should the plant be harvested a few weeks before it matures? If anyone tried this before, any suggestions would be great...

Eh?....youre gonna try and reveg a plant after its harvested?

So...youd leave a few small branches and then reveg those?

I wouldve taken clones from it when it was in veg...But i guess in your situation its too late...Try taking some clones off of the small branches now before they grow too much more bud on them, and just veg those while your main plant finishes.

Taking clones from a plant in flowering can be problematic...and slow going. But itll work if you do it right.

Dont harvest early...Take a look at the stickies in the "Harvesting and Curing" section of the forums for the proper harvesting technique.

Its better to harvest it all when its ripe, rather than harvesting early, and revegging whats left.

I've done this many times before and it can work well.. All you need to do is harvest all of your main bud sites and cut the plant back to a little over half it's size, if that makes sense.. Try and leave as much green foliage as possible towards the bottom of the plant. Give your plant a good veg feed and put under 24/7 lighting for a good 2 weeks or so, you can then drop your light to 18/6 and watch it take to the veg cycle again. It usually ( Depending on the plant strain, environment e.t.c ) takes about a month to start to fully produce leaves again, then grow it to the height/size you want then 12/12 lighting and bob's your pimp.

I have done this many times before and it works a treat. Sometimes i re-pot to a slightly bigger pot as this can help start the growing a little quicker.

Hope this helps mate & good luck.

Mattyblade1 is very much correct +rep to mattyblade.

I always transplant into a slightly larger container before revegging.

Yeah, this is right.

I would only add one note. I replant too, and I like to rough up the roots some. If the plant's roots have colonized the whole bucket/is rootbound, then you actually rip off like 1/3 of the roots and be OK.

REvegging is cool. It's a useful method after a pheno hunt. It'll test the stability of a mother plant.
